A TICKET OUT OF OPS? Here's a good story from the Cincinnati Enquirer about 800 and some kids in failing inner-city schools in Cincinnati who got a free ride to local private schools in order to get up and out of the educational ghetto. This is what we should do about the low-income kids who are really struggling wtihin the Omaha Public Schools, not re-invent a gigantic new bureaucracy with the "learning community" that would disrupt everybody, including those whose schools are OK: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061008/NEWS0102/610080364/1077/NEWS01
